The ICAS-Math 100 degrees below zero is developed by the Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), UNS

The Educational Assessment Australia (EAA) of the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Global Pty Limited had revealed in an email sent to Philippine Board of Studies Foundation that from the more than 1500 participants in the 2011 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS)-Mathematics, 89 will be presented with the High Distinction certificates while the 201 and 414 others will get the Distinction and Credit certificates respectively.
The ICAS-Math 100 degrees below zero is developed by the Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), UNSW Global Pty Limited and is conducted annually in Australia and in 12 other countries including New Zealand, Brunei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, USA, Philippines and the Pacific region.
As usual, the ICAS Math assesses five strands: Number and Arithmetic, Algebra 100 degrees below zero and Patterns, measures and Units, Space and Geometry, Chance and Data. Generally, the ICAS provides extensive independent evaluations of students skills, knowledge and understanding 100 degrees below zero in the core learning areas. These skills and understanding are important indicators of success in school and beyond, said Dr. Sofia Kesidou, General Manager-Assessment and Research at EAA.
