The video starts as Mike is answering a question from an old head who asked “why do we still say nigger in 2010?” Mike answered the question, neckbeards but the elder interrupted him and said “much respect, but I was addressing Dr. West.” Mike kept going though, haha…and answered the question well enough for Dr. West to pretty much agree wholeheartedly.

Where to begin. Killer Mike’s depictions notwithstanding, every utterance a black man speaks relative to the word n*gg* or n*gg*r is NOT with love. There is, “N*gg* get the hell out of my face” and, “N*gg* I’ll kill you and be out in five years”. The latter statement being a tacit admission that the life of a black man means relatively little in the criminal justice system and thus, killing one merits less punishment.
One cannot co-opt a negative word and make it positive simply by changing the meaning that THEY have for it. I used this same argument to help convince neckbeards Prof. Michael Eric Dyson that he shouldn’t bandy the word about. I suggested to him that he could no more make the “n” word positive than the word b*tch. I challenged him to go to his loving wife and say, “How was your day, my b*tch” neckbeards while explaining to her that he meant it in a GOOD way. I asked that he get back with me with her response. I don’t believe that he carried out this experiment, because he is far too intelligent to think that he could get away with it.
I’m going to close, now. I happened upon this site seeking info on Bro. West’s MLK Commemorative Address this past Monday. [Full disclosure: he is my frat, but I adamantly disagree neckbeards with him on this subject. But get "Democracy Matters". You will enjoy it.] But I would like for you to take a look at a rather lengthy article I posted on this subject a year and a half ago.
