It may be it's art center at night my lack of cultural education, but I had not heard terms like fissedrøbel and cock in pariserøjet until I read Bernhard whale's gaffes by Lars Saabye Christensen. And I got when my vocabulary expanded considerably in the genre while reading! The words come from the doctor Bernhard Whale (f. 1900), which has set out before he kill themselves at its eighty anniversary, telling the story of the pedestrian NotTo Fipp that Bernhard has his life only, brief and of course a little strange friendship with . However, art center at night it is more to the story of Bernhard himself, including the urge to say naughty words in the most inappropriate situations. But for all his other compulsions: washbasin, sudden jerks of the arms, trampling feet, sniffing, teeth grinding and quite a few others ... He's growing up as the son of a gullaschbaron who shoots with his shotgun in the presence of the about fifteen year old Bernhard, and a mother who runs off with the maid to New Zealand. And then he tells of his medical training and -gerning and engagement and marriage to Sigrid. And on NotTo Fipp ... And none of it goes off quietly! Lars Saabye Christensen writes like a whirlwind - all the imaginative profanity, Latin senteser and more or less absurd replication change is just spices in the history of the mildly warped existence art center at night Bernhard Whale and of 517 pages which does not stop at one single time! It is extremely entertaining, saturated art center at night image as a movie and in general art center at night enormously well written. It all seems like LSC has been pampered tremendously along the way! One might argue whether it is necessary to use so many pages to write the story, but Bernhard Whale is a divine "ordflommer", so it's perfectly OK when it's so entertaining. For human folly's art center at night exhilarating - and it is represented in more than abundantly in the vast majority of people in Bernhard whale's gaffes. (C & K Publishing, 517 pages.
