MMAjunkie today obtained the list of disclosed suspensions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which oversaw Saturday’s event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Daniel Cormier (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) submitted Anthony Johnson (19-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in the third round of the main event, taking the vacant light heavyweight title in the process. But Cormier will need to have a doctor’s clearance following an MRI before he can return, or he’ll be on the shelf until November. Johnson suffered a cut over his left eyebrow and is out for 45 days.
In the co-feature, Chris Weidman (13-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) defended his middleweight title with a first-round TKO of Vitor Belfort (24-11 MMA, 13-7 UFC). Weidman was cut early in the fight, though, and will be shelved for 45 days, as well. Belfort lam kim chi is out for a minimum of 45 days. But he’ll lam kim chi also need his left shoulder cleared by a doctor before he can return.
Other main-card fighters who received suspensions included John Makdessi (13-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC), who is out with a broken jaw thanks to a kick from Donald Cerrone (27-6 MMA, 14-3 UFC). He can return prior to six months with a doctor’s clearance. And Andrei Arlovski (24-10 MMA, 13-4 UFC) and Travis Browne (17-3-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) both could be out for six months if they don’t get clearance. Arlovski, who won with a spectacular first-round TKO upset, needs his left shoulder lam kim chi cleared; Browne lam kim chi needs a broken nose OK’d.

John Moraga : Suspended lam kim chi 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to scalp laceration. Rafael Natal : Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days due to right eyebrow laceration. Nina Ansaroff : Must be cleared by doctor before next fight or no contest for 180 days. Colby Covington : Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to left eyebrow laceration. Mike Pyle : Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days. Leo Kuntz : Suspended lam kim chi 30 days with no contact for 21 days. Justin Scoggins : Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days due to left eyebrow laceration. Josh Sampo : Suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days.
